Olivia Dimond is a writer and theater maker based in Denver, Colorado. She loves finding ways to reinvent the stories we think we know for the page, stage, and screen. She holds a BA in Theater from Bates College.
Most recently, Olivia wrote for the second and third seasons of ACC Ink’s award-winning webseries Hurt. The season three writers’ room took home Best Writing, International Series Narrative (English Language) at the NZ Webfest for their work.
In addition to screenwriting, Olivia has fiction and poetry published in Idle Ink, Miniskirt Magazine, MIDLVLMAG, and others. In 2021, her ten-minute play Carry You Home was a semifinalist at the Region 1 Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival. She’s also served on the writing staff of The Bates Student and Study Breaks, covering arts, leisure, and various pop culture topics.
Recent theater credits include directing Rapture, Blister, Burn (Bates College) and starring as the lead in the world-premiere English-language production of The Girl Who Was Cyrano (translated by Luis David Molina Rueda). Bates College recognized Rapture, Blister, Burn with Honors in Theater in support of both the production and Olivia’s written thesis covering the production process.
As an educator, Olivia has worked with students aged 2-18 in a variety of settings and disciplines. She’s currently a 7th grade language arts teacher. When not creating or helping others create, she is a making a mess in the kitchen and obnoxiously singing around the house. You can find her on socials below.
