Olivia will bring her award-winning screenwriting talents to Denver Writes this weekend. On November 23, she’s teaching a Scriptwriting workshop for ages 7-15 at the Bookies Bookstore. Olivia began volunteering with Denver Writes in the fall of 2023. She ran their Historical Fiction workshop in January 2024 and has attended several other workshops run by authors like J.E. The third and final season of Hurt won Best Writing, International Series Narrative (English Language) at the 2024 NZ Webfest this weekend. Olivia takes the win alongside K.S. Garner and series co-creators Craig Selbrede and Liam Gilbey. She contributed two episodes this season, “Death By A Thousand Cuts” and “The Loneliest Boy in the World.” While Hurt has won several awards over the years, this is its first writing win. Olivia is thrilled to announce that her flash piece “actual thoughts i’ve had while emptying the lint trap (or: anxiety dream #293)” has been published in issue 2 of Electric Eccentric. Published by ACC Ink, this edition of the zine was an exclusive reward for those who donated to the forthcoming Season 2 of Hurt.
